This whole “quarter life crisis” thing has really benefitted me. I wasn’t doing what I really wanted to and I surrounded myself with condescending unsupportive people. For some reason the educational system is set up so someone else, of some various authority, is allowed to decide each students future. This is insane. Grades and such, whatever. But I really don’t think it’s ok to tell someone that their future is in jeopardy because you don’t think they’ve proved they want it enough to you. I’m fed up with that. Beyond fed up, so I’m doing the best I can to not let everyone else decide how my life turns out.
Its likely that everyone else thinks I must be an idiot to blow off the serious career path I was taking. But fuck that and fuck them.
